School is out....

Now that school is out for the summer, some days I don't have the energy or desire to do much. However, I have been applying to online jobs, which include tutoring, and I have a desire to gain further knowledge. The further knowledge I want to gain is not only spiritually, but physically. I will be creating a schedule for myself and hope to start my modified version of the Hard 75 soon. Wish me luck, and let me know what thoughts or ideas you have.

Challenge- Health

This summer, I have decided to do a modified version of the Hard 75 Challenge. For those of you who aren't aware of what the Hard 75 is....it consists of a very strict schedule where you do specific things daily for 75 days. I heard from someone somewhere that it takes around 21 days to start a new habit. In my version (whoever wants to is welcome to join me), I will be doing measurements daily (not weighing), I will have my husband or someone take pictures of my journey, I will drink a certain amount of water, and make better eating choices. I am also going to do daily scripture study, meditation, etc. The reason for doing the challenge isn't about losing weight (I used to battle an eating disorder). I want to feel healthier and ensure that I am getting myself on a better schedule. Stay tuned for more.....

Mental Health

Yesterday, I did a live Facebook recording that was rather long, sorry, but also not sorry about that. It was about mental health and the effects it can have on someone. First of all, if you are struggling, get help, please. I was having conflicting thoughts mentally, which started to trigger thoughts that I used to have when battling an eating disorder called Anorexia Nervosa. I felt so many mixed emotions yesterday, which have continued throughout today. My nervous system is on overload, as I continue to have multiple emotions. One of my former co-workers is amazing, as they are trained in a technique that I never knew about. I am fortunate enough that after I messaged them, they rearranged their schedule with mine, and I will be going over to get my body reset. Instead of getting a normal massage, they have a way to reset your mind. After I meet with them, I will be going to the gym to do some weights and cardio. After that, I will go to the sauna @Bodifi where I teach fitness, to c...

A Day in the Life

Sorry, it's been a little while since I last posted. I was doing it from my husband's laptop, but our charger doesn't work anymore. So waiting until payday to get another charger. A typical day in life, depending on whether our youngest is with us, would be waking up, getting dressed, making lunches and breakfast, making sure our dog gets food and water plus letting him out. Then we leave for work, a typical work day is 8:15-3:15, then go home unless we have an appointment, and then gym or stay home and work on homework and dinner. I usually stay busy with household chores, but lately I have been so tired that I do what I can with the energy I have. Definitely looking forward to spring break coming up next week.

Goals

I realize that with the start of the new year, people set goals and New Year's resolutions. Ok....please be honest here, how many of us actually keep or stick to it? Here are a few goals I want to really work on. Besides passing my Math Praxis test and getting a job as an Elementary Teacher, one of my goals is to be more active. Okay, some of you might be thinking....isn't she already active? Yes, I am a certified HIGH fitness instructor and love my job, my goal is to build endurance and strength, also. The gym or even at home can be a great way to work out, especially when you need to unwind and socialize. I have been working on coming out of my "shell" more by talking with someone else and asking how they are doing. When I go to the fitness classes, I try to go to the middle or near the front, unless I have to leave early. I will be posting more videos on my Facebook page to hold myself accountable. My extra goal with this is to take pictures to show my journey. I c...

Fitness

I believe that fitness is beneficial not only for your body but also for your mind. Whether your day is going as planned or not, hitting the gym helps rejuvenate you. I love meeting new people, especially in the group fitness classes. You will find me teaching at Bodifi in Rexburg on Tuesdays for LOW or Saturdays for HIGH Fitness. We rotate as instructors, so be sure to check when I am teaching. There is an energy like no other as we hype each other up. I love being a part of the HIGH Fitness family! I enjoy teaching with all of our instructors, and we get so much love and support from our participants.

Welcome to Bond Adventures

Hi, my name is Michelle! Welcome to our new, updated blog, where you can join us on our journey as a family. This space is something I’ve been wanting to create for a while—a place where I can share real life, the ups and downs, and everything in between. As a mom, a future teacher, and someone who is always working toward personal growth, life can get busy and sometimes a little crazy, but incredibly meaningful. Through this blog, I hope to share pieces of our everyday life, lessons I’m learning along the way, and moments that make this journey so special. You can expect a mix of family life, personal growth, and glimpses into my path toward becoming an educator. My goal is to create a space that feels real, relatable, and encouraging—whether you’re here for inspiration, connection, or just to follow along. Thank you so much for being here and supporting our journey!
